Current vacancies

We are looking for specialists in flight operations, laboratory coordination, geodata analysis, dog handling and sampling, in Berlin and at the Rhön field station near Fulda. A large share of the work takes place in the field, including in poor weather.

UAS remote pilot for forest surveysRhön field station near Fulda · full-time

You plan and fly aerial and thermal imaging missions with the DJI Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Thermal in forests and on farmland, mainly in the Rhön and eastern Hesse and, where required, throughout Germany. Requirements: EU remote pilot certificate of competency (at least A1/A3, ideally A2), willingness to work multi-day field assignments and a full driving licence.

Environmental chemist, laboratory coordinationRhön field station near Fulda · full-time

You coordinate PFAS and pesticide residue analysis with our accredited partner laboratories, define parameters and methods and check laboratory findings for plausibility. A degree in chemistry or environmental science is required.

GIS analyst, remote sensingBerlin · full-time

You analyse aerial and thermal imagery, from delineating suspect areas to producing maps for reports, and integrate data from partners such as multispectral or LiDAR surveys. Knowledge of Python and QGIS is an advantage.

Detection dog handlerRhön field station near Fulda · full-time

You handle one of our detection dogs on forest protection, disease control and species monitoring assignments and continue its training together with the team. Requirements: experience in scent work, a certificate of competence under Section 11 of the German Animal Welfare Act or willingness to obtain one, and a full driving licence. Service dogs are provided by Verdavis; you do not need your own dog.

Field technician, samplingRhön field station near Fulda · full-time

You take soil, water and plant samples in accordance with DIN ISO 18400 and internal protocols and maintain monitoring plots. Training as a forest technician or a comparable qualification is required.
